A great thing to encourage creativity and language development is to use puppets. So let's make a puppet theatre and some puppets.
Puppets can be created fairly easily. I use old pictures and mount them onto heavy paper. Then I just glue the picture onto a popsicle stick and we're ready to go!
For some added fun you could make a puppet theatre from an old cardboard box. Doesn't have to be fancy...I just took one and folded three of the sides inward and taped the fourth side up to make a window for the show. You can keep it simply like that or add some decorations to jazz it up.
To make a more personalized feel to your puppets you could use photos of you and your family members. Just mount them onto sturdy paper and add a popsicle stick.
Let the stories begin!
