Blowing bubbles is an all time favourite for all ages! The older kids can jump up and pop the bubbles while our wee ones can watch and track the bubbles while they float by....encourage them to reach up and grab them as they pop around them.
This is a great opportunity to......
- turn some music on and have a bubble popping dance party
- talk about all the colours in the bubbles
- count them as they float past or as you pop them
You have run out of bubble solution....don't worry I have a super great recipe to share with you.
All you need is .....
- 6 cups of water
- 1 cup dish soap
- 1tbsp corn syrup
Mix all the ingredients together gently and you're ready for fun!
Can't find a bubble wand?...you can make your own using a plastic funnel; twist a pipe cleaner into a wand; you can cut the bottom off of a plastic drink bottle--blow from the drinking end; you could even use an "O" ball if you have one.
