Chalk Lines

Time to make some chalk!

Don't let your imagination run away with you...this is the simplest of things to make!  Who would have thought?

All you need is......

• equal amounts of corn starch and water....it's that easy!
• if you want to get fancy you can add food colouring to make different coloured chalk but it's not necessary.

Soooo....

• mix the corn starch and water together in a bowl
• keep stirring until it's all mixed together....it will look like milk in your bowl...not to worry as it will dry into a solid.

• if you wanted to add colour to your mixture now is the time.
• I divided my mixture into three separate bowls and coloured each one differently with a few drops of food colouring.

• then just pour your mixture into any small containers you have.  I used muffin tins but you could use any small yoghurt/apple sauce containers.

• I also made some using empty juice boxes. I just cut the tops off.  They will be the perfect size for small hands.

• next you just have to be patient...it will take at least 24 hours to dry....depending on how thick you make your pieces.
